Google is an internet search engine used to search data which are publicly available on internet. 2. Facebook

Largest online social networking site founded by Mark Zuckerberg in Feb 4, 2004. Facebook was a project, self assigned by some of the Harvard University students. In 2013 total revenue of Facebook reached US$7.87 billion. Before Facebook there is no online social networking site. Students of Harvard University got enormous amount of visitors just after the launch of this website publicly. Currently Facebook has over 100 million views per day.

3. YouTube

YouTube is largest video sharing website created and developed by three former employees of PayPal. In 2006 when YouTube has become world’s most popular video sharing website Google bought this site. Anyone(registered user) can upload unlimited number of videos to YouTube. YouTube is the third most visited website in the world according to the Alexa Web Rankings. YouTube also faces a ban in several different countries many times like Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Tunisia, Thailand, Tajikistan, Syria, Sudan, Russia, Libya, Georgia, Indonesia, Germany, China and Armenia because of anti-islamic vidoes and YouTube team denied to remove those videos.

4. Yahoo

World’s largest email service provider and third largest search engine in 2013, Before the GMail and MSN comes Yahoo Mail was the only free available email service in the beginning of internet. Yahoo was founded by Jerry Yang and David Filo in Jan, 1994. Yahoo is currently the 4th most visit website according to the Alexa web rankings.

5. Baidu

A Chinese search engine deigned to search and store information only for Chinese language. It is founded by Robin Li and Eric Xu in 2000. You can store articles start keyword based discussions and search through internet using Baidu. Baidu rank as as world 5th most widely used website according to the alexa internet rankings in may 2014.

6. Wikipedia

WikiPedia is non-profit  collaboratively and edited multilingual internet encyclopedia. Wikipedia launched in January 15, 2001 by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger both are software developers. With 18 billion page views and nearly 500 million unique visitors a month…, Wikipedia trails just Yahoo, Facebook, Microsoft and Google, the largest with 1.2 billion unique visitors. According the Alexa internet rankings Wikipedia has became the 6th most popular website in the world.

7. Amazon

Amazon is world’s largest online retailer. You can buy almost everything from amazon. Founded by Jeff Bezos in 1995. Amazon is the world 7th most popular website in the world according to the alexa internet rankings. Amazon offers delivery in almost every country of the world. Recently Amazon has announced to deliver products (ordered online) via drone delivery system. Amazon recently bought alexa web ranking website.

8. Twitter

Twitter is free online micro-blogging service and social network.  You can post upto 140 characters in total in single post called Tweet. Twitter was developed by Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, Biz Stone and Noah Glass in March 2006 while they put twitter online in July, 2006. Twitter has became the world’s second largest social network in 2013. Currently twitter ranked as 8th most visited website in the world according to alexa web rankings.

Tencent QQ is an instant internet messenger service. Founded by Tencent Holdings Limited a Chinese investment holding company. Tencent QQ messenger are available on almost every platform like Android, iOS, Linux, OS X, Windows, Windows Phone, Windows Mobile/CE, Symbian, Java ME, Web App Java ME, Web App Available in Chinese, English, French, Japanese. Taobao.com is an online shopping store for Chinese customers looking for a wide range of collection available online. Founded by Alibaba Group on May 10, 2003. Around 760 million product listings as of March 2013 Taobao has became the largest online shopping platform in China. Taobao is world 10th most popular website according to the alexa internet rankings.

LinkedIn: The business-based social networking website, created by Reid Hoffman, Allen Blue, Konstantin Guericke, Eric Ly, Jean-Luc Vaillant, in December 2002 and launched on 5 May, 2003. The recent reports say, it acquired over 259 million visitors these belong to above 200 countries and territories. LinkedIn is available in 20 languages as English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Romanian, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Czech, Polish, Korean, Indonesian and Malay.
